Giliane St-Amand Green, the owner and lead consultant of Pour Etre Joli grew up with a mother who seemingly knew how to do everything.  Everything she touched seemed to come alive with beauty and elegance.  Her parents always entertained and her mother was always helping others with their special events. 

In teaching Giliane life lessons, her mother would say:  'Il faux soufrire pour etre jolie.' Which in French means, 'one must suffer to be beautiful.'  
Giliane believes that life is beautiful because in the midst of suffering, hard work, disappointments and achievements, life should be celebrated.  

While in college, Giliane obtained priceless experience in producing a variety of events including promoting and coordinating a Lecture Series, Cultural events, Banquets and Balls, as well as fundraisers for non-profit organizations and finally, coordinating and designing wedding celebrations.
